Title XIV of the Financial Regulatory Reform law calls for mandatory reporting of appraisers who violate USPAP to their State Agency. To assist Regulators with managing these complaints we’ve standardized the format and created a portal to route these complaints to you. We’ve simplified the process on the front end by summarizing the most common deficiencies found in appraisals and mapped them to USPAP. This allows you, on the receiving end, to efficiently manage each complaint.
We’ve developed administrative tools to help you with your processes, log documents, track and monitor each complaint. We have robust reporting tools to help you track the volume of complaints, from whom, and what type of complaint is the most common. Once a final outcome is determined we post the disciplinary actions to X-FILES™.
AREA 56™
AREA 56™ is a database of all AMC, BPO, and other appraisal legislation at the state level. Why 56 instead of 51? With all states, territories and the District of Columbia there are 56 jurisdictions. No, we don’t intend to imply that anything bizarre might be occurring in this space.
